Jig machines are core separation equipment for gravity mineral processing. They stratify and separate mineral particles by specific gravity with pulsating water flow. The diaphragm mechanism generates periodic up-and-down water currents. Heavy and light minerals form distinct layers on the screen bed. High-density concentrates pass through the sieve plate and are discharged from the bottom, while lightweight tailings flow out along with overflow. Concentrates, middlings and tailings can be separated in a single pass. The machines are available in single-chamber, double-chamber and triple-chamber models, widely used for alluvial gold recovery, non-ferrous ore separation, tailings reprocessing and metal recovery from slag.
